Team Manager Tasks

Team managers oversee 13 tasks during the season. Many can be delegated to other parents.

Administrative Tasks

Newsletter Registration

Sign up for the AYSO Region 13 Newsletter and encourage families to subscribe.

Volunteer Identification

Work with the coach to identify and designate team volunteers (manager and referees) using the provided spreadsheet.

Parent Forms

Collect signed forms from each family:

  • Concussion Information Sheet
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest Information Sheet
  • Kids Zone Parent Pledge

Upload team photos via the team-specific link.

Team Communication

Communication Platform

Establish a communication method for the team. If the coach does not have a preference, Spond is recommended. Use it to share schedules, practice updates, and team information.

Snack Schedule

Create a rotation for halftime and post-game snacks. Account for food allergies. Keep snacks simple.

Field Inspection

Coordinate parent volunteers to check the field for trash and hazards before each game.

Events and Logistics

Coordinate team banner production if desired. Banners may include player first names but not jersey numbers. Teams cover banner production costs.

Team Sponsorship (Optional)

Facilitate optional team sponsorship at $250 per team using the sponsor form. Sponsors receive recognition on the team banner.

Goal Setup

Coordinate volunteers to arrive 30 minutes early for the first game of the day to set up goals. Manage goal takedown after the final game. See Goal Setup for instructions.

Picture Day

Communicate timing, costs, and logistics at least two weeks in advance. Assist with day-of coordination. Contact pictures@ayso13.org for details.

End-of-Season Party

Organize a celebration with awards distribution, coach and referee gifts, and volunteer-coordinated food.

Field Host Recruitment

Recruit parent volunteers to staff the AYSO Region 13 tent at Victory Park. Sign up through WeJoinIn.

Trophy Distribution (4U-8U and VIP Teams)

Designate someone to collect personalized trophies, verify accuracy, and distribute to players.
