Getting Started
What training do I need?

What is the time commitment?
A few hours per week during the season for communication, coordination, and game-day logistics. The workload varies based on how much you delegate to other parents.
Do I need soccer knowledge?
No. The team manager role focuses on organization and communication rather than soccer skills.
Tasks
Which tasks can I delegate?
Nearly all of them. Common delegations include:
- Snack schedule coordinator
- Picture day helper
- Goal setup volunteers
- Field inspection volunteers
- End-of-season party planner
How do I set up goal posts?
See Goal Setup for detailed instructions. At Victory Park, arrive 30 minutes before the first game. Equipment is color-coded by age group and stored in the container with the Region 13 logo.
What communication platform should I use?
Spond is recommended if the coach does not have a preference. Other options include team email, text groups, or similar apps.
Picture Day
How do I coordinate picture day?
Contact pictures@ayso13.org for the schedule and process. Communicate details to families at least two weeks in advance.
What if a player misses picture day?
Makeup photo sessions are scheduled. The Picture Day Coordinator will provide dates.
