How It Works

EPIC pairs players with volunteer buddies who provide one-on-one support during sessions. Coaches work with each participant to create a customized experience based on individual needs.

The program adapts rules and activities as needed to accommodate mobility or comprehension differences. The goal is for every participant to experience the joy of playing soccer.

Buddy System

Each EPIC participant is paired with a buddy — often a player from the regular program — who helps facilitate involvement and provides support during activities.

Buddies:

  • Stay with their partner throughout the session
  • Help explain activities
  • Provide encouragement and support
  • Adapt activities as needed

  • Uniform
  • Weekly sessions
  • End-of-season trophy
